Get your bluff in now, Bessi!

A tiger cub born in a German zoo and rejected by its mother has found a friend in Bessi the wirehaired dachshund. I hope someone told Bessi that this kitty will be larger than your average house cat.

Long little horsey

Passersby keep trying to save Mayflower the pony from her own stubby dachshund-like legs. Apparently they see her standing next to her long-legged friends and believe her to be stuck in the mud.

A few of my favorite things

Lots of soft pillows,
I'm tired from fetching.
My nose up a cat's butt,
Is perfect for resting.

Dah dah dah-dah-dah... Zzzzzzz....

Dachshunds are good for you health

"Dogtor" Louie helps his patients overcome fears and phobias, charging only a belly rub for his services. He's a shining example of how adopting a shelter animal benefits both the animal and the human.

Interviews are being conducted

I'm Nellie Bly and I'm currently fostering a couple of humans to see if they are acceptable candidates for adoption. Let's see how they are doing...

Hmmm, a few new toys. Yes, this is good. I like the snowman, very season-appropriate.

A nice lap to sit on and receive hugs and belly rubs. This is also a very good thing. Positive marks, for sure.

Yes, I believe these people just might make the cut, although I have observed a shocking lack of steaks. I'll try to give them some hints. I'm sure they'll come around.

Happy birfday to me!

LLD: Arlo

I was born a poor, speckled pup in a place called Puppy Mill. I stayed there in a little concrete box for a year, then some people from the hoomane society came and got me. Four years ago today I picked out My Boy at the hoomane society and life finally got good.

So happy birfday to me!
